Week 25: One more year!

HI family!
This letter will be a little short because I am out of time hahaha. 
This week was pretty run of the mill. We worked hard everyday! We contacted 194 people this week, so that was exciting. I have a cold this week, so it was a little hard to be excited to leave the house and talk with people. 

This morning we were going to go help a lady in the ward clean her new house. She lives in the elder`s sector which is way out in the country. We biked for like 20 minutes, and then decided to call her. She said that she wasnt at home, so we turned around and biked back. It was a little bit crazy, but oh well hahaha. Here are some pictures. 




This week we talked with a couple people that wanted to fight with us about the bible. I was feeling like I needed to study a lot and gain some knowledge. I decided to study about knowledge in Preach my Gospel. I read a scripture that said basically that when we study and preach with the spirit, we will receive grace. Then in True to the Faith it says that grace is divine help from the Atonement. It is so true! I realized that I dont need to gain a lot of knowledge to be able to defend the Book of Mormon, or our church. I just need to have the spirit and testify of the truth.

I love all of you!! This week I will complete 6 months in the mission! Whoo hoo!!

Hola Familia! Wow. I can't believe it, but I only have about 17 months left in my mission! hahaha. But really the time is flying by in the MTC. I apologize, I didn't get a letter hand written this week, but hopefully next week I can squeeze it in. At the MTC, every second we are learning and growing, or eating and sleeping. When I do have a moment where I'm not doing something, I am memorizing scriptures or vocabulary.  This week was great! On Thursday was Thanksgiving. Most of the missionaries forgot because it was just like any other day. But when we went to dinner, there was a surprise waiting for us! The cafeteria staff had made a nice dinner for us. They put tableclothes on the table with cloth napkins, pitchers of juice, and flowers. Then they served us turkey and mashed potatoes and gravy. It was so nice! Week 35: Total Eclipse of the... sun

Hey family!  I hope this week has been a good one! It has been a good one on this side of the equator. This week we had an eclipse here in Chile! Whoo hoo!! The eclipse wasnt full where we were, but it still got a little bit dark. One of the ward members had the special lenses, so we got to see the sun through that. It was super cool, but not as cool as the one in Idaho, oh well. Here are some pics of when the sun was covered up. This was at like 4 in the afternoon.  This week I am tired! But it is super awesome! We have been working super hard in our sector and helping people progress. This week we set a baptismal date with Nelson. He is from Venezuela, and is in Chile working to bring his wife here. Nelson is awesome! He is reading the Book of Mormon, and progressing a lot! Week 36: I'm a mom!

Hi family! I hope everyone is doing well! Dont worry about the subject line, I´m not pregnant, but I am training a new missionary! Whoo hoo! It is a weird missionary thing to call your trainee your daughter...but.... It is kind of weird. Probably the last time I will do that. Her name is Hermana Machicado. She is from Bolivia and is super short and super cute! She is the 7th of 8 kids and all but two of her siblings are members. This week has been pretty great! It is amazing to see how the Lord has been preparing me, and how He is preparing the people we are teaching. I think everyone already knows, but I was struggling a lot with depression in the first part of my mission. These past couple weeks I have been able to realize that I am feeling SO MUCH BETTER!!! And just in time, because I am training a new missionary hahaha. But really, I am so grateful for all the experiences that I have had in my mission so far.
