Week 21: Happy Birthdays!

HI family! I have a lot of pictures this week, so that will be fun or yall hopefully. 

Happy birthday to everyone that had a birthday this week/month. On March 30 Hermana Tituaña had her birthday, so I decorated a door for her. I didnt have a lot of time or candy, but it turned out cute, and she like it :)







This week we ate with these cute grandmas named Sonia and Iris. Sonia is one of our converts, and Iris is her friend. They are best friends and like to argue with each other about whether or not people can own coastline hahaha. They like to go to lessons with us, and are always looking out for us. Sorry the picture is super bad, but it is all I have. Iris is on the left and Sonia on the right. 



On Thursday we had a Zone conference. It was Hermana Tituaña´s last, so she asked if we could use her traditional dress. I was a little embarassed to use it, but it turned out great. I wish that I had a cool tradtion/culture like that hahaha. Maybe I will marry an Ecuadorian. Who knows. My companion told me that when they get married, they do the same thing like in Jonny Lingo. The girl hides in the house, and the boy comes with his family, and brings animals and food to ask to marry the girl. It is super awesome. 







The conference was super awesome! I heard all the things that I needed to hear, including things that I need to improve. We talked about the doctrine of Christ, focusing a lot in repentance. We did an activity where we practiced apologizing. It was super interesting because even though it was just a practice, we all felt better after. I encourage you to try it this week. Apologize for something even if it is little, or you think that it doesnt matter.

I love all you so much! I am super grateful this week for the prophet. I am so excited to watch conference and see what changes we will have! Super crazy. I know that Russel M Nelson is the living prophet today. I know that he has authority from God that was passed down from Joseph Smith. I know that Joseph Smith restored this church and that it is true. I am so grateful for it!! I love this church! I love you guys! Have a great week!

Hola Familia! Wow. I can't believe it, but I only have about 17 months left in my mission! hahaha. But really the time is flying by in the MTC. I apologize, I didn't get a letter hand written this week, but hopefully next week I can squeeze it in. At the MTC, every second we are learning and growing, or eating and sleeping. When I do have a moment where I'm not doing something, I am memorizing scriptures or vocabulary.  This week was great! On Thursday was Thanksgiving. Most of the missionaries forgot because it was just like any other day. But when we went to dinner, there was a surprise waiting for us! The cafeteria staff had made a nice dinner for us. They put tableclothes on the table with cloth napkins, pitchers of juice, and flowers. Then they served us turkey and mashed potatoes and gravy. It was so nice! Week 35: Total Eclipse of the... sun

Hey family!  I hope this week has been a good one! It has been a good one on this side of the equator. This week we had an eclipse here in Chile! Whoo hoo!! The eclipse wasnt full where we were, but it still got a little bit dark. One of the ward members had the special lenses, so we got to see the sun through that. It was super cool, but not as cool as the one in Idaho, oh well. Here are some pics of when the sun was covered up. This was at like 4 in the afternoon.  This week I am tired! But it is super awesome! We have been working super hard in our sector and helping people progress. This week we set a baptismal date with Nelson. He is from Venezuela, and is in Chile working to bring his wife here. Nelson is awesome! He is reading the Book of Mormon, and progressing a lot! Week 36: I'm a mom!

Hi family! I hope everyone is doing well! Dont worry about the subject line, I´m not pregnant, but I am training a new missionary! Whoo hoo! It is a weird missionary thing to call your trainee your daughter...but.... It is kind of weird. Probably the last time I will do that. Her name is Hermana Machicado. She is from Bolivia and is super short and super cute! She is the 7th of 8 kids and all but two of her siblings are members. This week has been pretty great! It is amazing to see how the Lord has been preparing me, and how He is preparing the people we are teaching. I think everyone already knows, but I was struggling a lot with depression in the first part of my mission. These past couple weeks I have been able to realize that I am feeling SO MUCH BETTER!!! And just in time, because I am training a new missionary hahaha. But really, I am so grateful for all the experiences that I have had in my mission so far.
