Week 20: All things Venezuelan
Hi Family!
The first few weeks of my misison I felt like the only people we taught were from Haiti, and now they are from Venezuela! Right now we are teaching a family from Venezuela. The mom is name Joana. She is less active, but she talked to us one day in the street, and we are teaching her daughter! Her name is Ruth, and she is so cute! She is 9 and basically super pretty and nice. She will be baptized on April 12. I look giant next to them because they are all super small and skinny hahaha.
The blonder lady in the picture is a member named Marleny. She is from Venezuela too, but has a son that lives in Utah! I think in Spanish Fork.
This week we also made arepas. They are like a tortilla, but fatter. People in venezuela always make them, and everyone there knows how to make them. I think they eat them with cheese and chicken, or with ham or whatever. Basically I dont know why but my only pictures are with food...
The people from Haiti always give us food! I always feel bad because they do not have a lot of money, but they are always super nice to us :)
I love all of you so much. I am still working through some mental stuff, but I am grateful for all of your support! I am grateful for the mission and for the things I am learning.
Have a great week!
