Week 23: Lots of Goodbyes and Lots of food
Hi Family!
This week I am feeling a lot better. I have been terrible at writing letters these past couple weeks, so I will send a lot of pictures and try to remember everthing.hahaha.
The biggest thing this week is that we had a baptism this weekend!!! Her name is Ruth and she is nine. She is super cute, and has cute long hair and big eyes. One of the members in the ward baptized her. His name is Jorhan, he is from Venezuela too and is a recent convert of a little more than a year. He is super awesome and accompanies us in our visits. It was super cute because one of the primary kids gave a talk about the Holy Ghost, and they sang When I am Baptized. Hopefully you can see the video
This week on Friday Hermana Tituaña went home. The last couple days were pretty crazy because all of the members wanted to say goodbye to her. It was a little bit hard because everyone wanted to talk about her house, and being home and what she was going to do after, and all that. But it´s all good. We also got fed A LOT of food. Like normally we eat a ton, but this week people wanted to give us extra food too. hahaha perfect. It is a good thing that it is sweater and stretchy clothes season here in Chile hahaha
This is Miriam. She is a less active member that we found. She baked this cake for us. Just for fun. It was super good. Like a pound cake with lemon
Also this past week I made egg gravy! It was super crazy, because I dont even know how to make gravy, but I just threw some butter and flour and milk together and somehow it was gravy. It was not the best, but it was good to eat.
Hermana Tituaña and I took some pictures to finish the change together. Super cute. It has been cooler here, so that has been nice to not be sweating so much hahaha
Thank you so much for all your prayers. I have definitely felt your love and help this week. I am in love with conference and the scriptures. I am so grateful for the prophets. I am excited to keep working and serving here in Curicó. Next week I will send some pictures of my new companion.
Love you all!!!
Hermana Christensen
