Week 10: If you're happy and you know it, lose your hair!

Family!
Hi there!
This week kind of flew  by, so I havent thought a lot about what to say to all of you. Except this. I love you!

Love, Hermana Christensen

jkjk, I am going to write an actual letter, dont worry hahaha
I am so glad that you got my letter and package! Whoo hoo! My hands are still soft because I sweat all the time, but my feet are getting harder. Which is a good thing because I dont want to have blister on the bottom of my feet for a year and a half.

This week we had interviews with President Harris. I was a little bit nervous because it was my first time, but it was great! I definitely know that he is called of God and received revelation specifically for us. The past week was a little hard for me because I am missing my family! but President Harris knew just the right things to say to encourage me and help me. While we were waiting to be interviewed, we had classes from our Zone leaders, Sister leader, and Hermana Harris. In the class with Hermana Harris we learned how to make beans, cook veggies, and make tortillas. It made me realize I miss being in the kitchen! but now I feel inspired to cook more healthy things and eat more veggies.
pro tip- if your hair is too thick, go on a mission and it will all fall out. Like seriously, I feel like I will be bald in a month. It is worth it to be on a mission! But dont worry too much, I am taking my multi vitamins so hopefully that will help.

This week I want to tell you super quick about one of our recent converts. His name is Ricardo. He is from Haiti and is like 23 years old. He was baptized the week before I got to the mission, but I was there for his confirmation. He is incredible! His faith is so strong. Even though he was baptized recently he comes with us to teach other Haitians, and this week HE RECEIVED THE PRIESTHOOD! Whoo hoo! He is going to pass the sacrament next sunday. I feel so proud of him, and I didnt even teach him all the lesson hahaha. I am so grateful for the power of the gospel to change lives.

I love you sosososo much! Sorry my letters arent that great but...what can you do.....
Love always,
Hermana Christensen

ps. Sorry that I ask for things everytime but... can you send me Becky Nesbit´s email and Lauren Towe´s? Sarah might need to help with the second. Also if you could share the Christensen recipes with this email that would be awesome.

pps. Here are pictures from this week. We hiked a hill in the middle of the city. So fun. Also I found panettone in the store!! delish
