Week 11: My First Baptism!
Hi family!
I was trying to think of a witty subject line for my email, but I dont really have time, and SUPRISE! I had my first baptism this week!
Okay. I think that one of the people in the ward sent some pictures to dad yesterday, but I obviously couldnt write you and tell you about them. But yesterday our friend Luckny was baptized! He is from Haiti, and is awesome! Every time that we go and teach him he has an awesome suprised face hahaha. He has trouble reading, and doesnt know a TON of spanish, but his faith is incredible. He has totally changed his life. Luckny was baptized by one of the youth in the ward. He is 16 and the son of one of the counselors to President Harris, so that was awesome! The other Haitian in the picture is Ricardo. Yesterday Ricardo received the priesthood! Whoo hoo! super fun. He blessed the sacrament in Creole yesterday which was really awesome! I feel so proud of all of them! ps. Sorry the picture is sideways...it is the only one where my eyes arent closed (the Nanny force is strong with this one)
This week I feel like our lessons have gone really well. My companion and I made 3 people cry this week in our lessons....oops. But dont worry, they are tears of the spirit! I feel like the message in Come, Follow Me this week was really inspired for the people that we talk with.
Today my district and I went to the beach! YAY!! An older couple that lives in the ward of our district leader drove us in their van. It took us like 2 hours from our sector. They are awesome and super nice! We ate fried fish and walked in the water for like 2 minutes, and then we had to go back to our sector. But it was awesome! My first time touching the pacific ocean. Cool beans. I dont know why the coloring is so off in two of the pics, but you get the picture. haha literally.
I am sorry every week I think I am going to have more time, but I dont. But dont worry Ill tell you everything when I get back haha
I miss you all, but I cant imagine myself anywhere else except the mission. Love you much,
Hermana Christensen
