Hola Fam!

Wow. How the heck are you guys!! I cant believe it has ben so long. I am so excited to talk to you on CHristmas!! Whoo hoo!! I think we are able to skype on the 24th at like 6 pm in CHile. Hopefully it works well. I dont even know how to describe the past two weeks. Wow.

We were the last group in the CCM, so they did a super fancy dinner for us. I dont know if you are on the facebook page, but probably Sister Carmack posted something about it. It was so cool, they gave us missionary tags that say Chile CCM, and the years that it was open. We aren't supposed to wear them, but we can put them on our scriptures. It was so sad to leave because we are the last. Also it is sad because all of the teachers have to find new jobs now. But at the same time it is fun to be part of that history!

I got your package!! Thank you so much!! I got it from the mission home on Tuesday, but I waited to open in until last night because I wasn't sure if there were things I needed to get today on P-day. I wasnt sure what to open, but I didn't look in my stocking yet. I told my companion I didint really want to open it because I dont want to the excitement of a package to be done hahaha. But seriously thank you for everything! Those camping letters are so cute. I would never be able to use them because they are so cute, so I am glad you sent them as letters to me! haha. now I can keep them forever. Also thank you for the awesome and creepy ornament. I had a hard time explaining to my companion that it was a joke, and not supposed to be actually a sentimental gift...right? lol. Snow baby.

Okay. Wow. Chile is awesome! I can't believe that I get to be here for 16 more months! (Also I cant believe that I have already been here for almost 2 months. My companion is from Buenos Aires, so she pronounces 'll' and 'y' like 'sh'. It took a little bit for me to understand it, but I think I have it down now. She is super nice and always happy. She loves cats, and lives with her mom. She doesnt have siblings, so she likes to hear about my family.

Okay. My spanish. Wow. the gift of tongues is real! I can mostly understand people that are not from Chile hahaha. People from Chile speak really fast and slur their words. So...yeah. My speaking is still improving, but I have to remember to be patient because it is only my first week hahaha. I just want to keep improving as fast as I can. I am trying to speak as much spanish as I can. I feel like I have been in the mission for a long time, except for my spanish hahaha. I was hoping to be fluent by our skype call, but..... I dont think that will happen hahahaha. I am trying to learn spanish fast so I can start joking around in spanish hahaha. I miss making people laugh, so get ready for this Christmas.

As always, I love the Book of Mormon. Some mornings I wake up early with my companion to read the Book of Mormon. We are trying to finish before the end of the year. I love the power of the Book of Mormon to soften people's hearts. Really, the answer to any question is in the BoM. My favorite scripture this week is Alma 26:27.

Thank you so much for everything!!! You guys are the best. Thank you for  being patient with my terrible emailing. Hopefully next week I will be able to write more. I am so excited to skype with you!! Whoo hooo!

ps. Here is a picture of my companion with a cat, and a picture of me with my package.
