Week 5: Time flies when you have to memorize 5 scriptures and learn a new language
Hi family!
ps. Everyone send me their favorite hymn! I feel like I always sing the same hymns over and over.
I can't believe it! This will be my last email from the MTC! Dont be alarmed if you don't get an email from me next week, because on Tuesday I will be leaving for the field and I dont know when my new p-day will be.
Okay I am sending some pictures this week. THey are in kind of random order, sorry. One is by the MTC sign here. It is cool because we are really the last group here in the MTC. The Carmacks fly out the same day that we leave.
One is a picture of the Peru flag for Maddie. I totally forgot to tell her, but there is a Sister here from Arequipa Peru. Her name is Sister Rosas. I will take a picture with her and send it to you next week.
This week has flown by. I cant believe how much more spanish I need to learn, but also how much I already know! I think about the first time I had to pray in spanish, I read it off of a paper. And now, I am still not very good, but I can do it by myself! The gift of tongues is real!!
Every P-day we get to go to the temple. I have so enjoyed the spirit that I have felt, and I have come to love the temple even more. I am so grateful for your examples of going every week, and I cant wait to go with you when I get back.
I am so jealous of everyone's snow! It is so weird because there are CHristmas trees everywhere, but it is getting hotter and hotter. I am excited to be able to talk to people in the field about Christmas and experience my first missionary Christmas.
Sorry this email is kind of bad, but I really do love you!
Hermana Christensen
ps. Everyone send me their favorite hymn! I feel like I always sing the same hymns over and over.
